Ants and Robots: Trailers of The Week

Depending on the movie, trailers can actually be the best part of going to the cinema. Here’s the best trailers we’ve seen this week…

Something about robots, something about a man that can be really tiny but still be really strong like a man but you can’t see him because he’s really tiny, like an ant, but a man. Watch the videos below or do something constructive, like getting a job, you hippie! Or listening to our first podcast which you can find here.

[UPDATE] Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Yes, I know – this is what happens when I do a best-of-the-week post on a Thursday. There’s a new shiny sexy explodey Star Wars trailer, everyone! Go and watch it here, but only after watching the ones below – they need some love too!

Ant Man

Because Marvel seem to be unstoppable right now, and after releasing what was (arguably) the movie of the 2014 with Guardians of the Galaxy – based on a comic only roughly 5 people have ever read – they are going for some increasingly left-field adaptations. Ant Man is the latest, and though the concept is a little hard to get your head around, it’s undoubtedly going to be a great, fun movie. Paul Rudd heads up the cast, with Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly proving that Marvel can basically just get anybody to be in their movies.

Ant Man is out this summer, and will form the 2nd part of Marvel’s one-two punch in the face of other blockbusters after their undoubtedly killer Avengers sequel in a couple of weeks. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Terminator Gynysysysysys

Proving that Hollywood really doesn’t give a fuck about what you think, the ridiculously named Terminator Genisys has a new trailer, and you know what? It looks like fun. Something about time travel and undoubtedly a hilarious reason as to why Arnie’s Terminator has aged will round out another shooty whooshy summer tentpole.

But Emilia Clarke is in it, so that’s something! There will probably not be any dragons, though. Also, why is Hollywood trying to make Jai Courtney a thing? Stop trying to make him a thing. He’s just sort of shit. Just one man’s opinion, though…

Terminator Genisys is out on the 3rd July in the UK and even though I like to take the piss a bit, it’ll be a fun movie because BANG BANG WHOOOOOSH *robot sound* POW!

Orange is The New Black

Orange is The New Black has become a major series for Netflix, because it’s awesome. You should go and watch it now. In fact, why haven’t you watched it yet? What are you doing? Come back in 2 seasons time and watch the trailer for season 3. It’s right here!

OiTNB fans don’t have too long to wait for the latest season, but any wait is too long. In the meantime, watch Daredevil (minor spoilers at that link), another Netflix exclusive.

What are you looking forward to this summer? any big trailers released this week that we’ve lazily ignored? Let us know below, or find us on Facebook and complain at us on there. We love being complained at. Much more interesting than blind praise (though I’ll happily take some of that too.)
